If you are experiencing difficulty viewing my Uru Music Videos, here is some assistance. Unfortunately, I can only provide help for viewing the movies on Windows.
Digital movies such as these are compressed using technology called a codec. Codecs are instructions for how to compress and uncompress the video and/or audio. The popular MP3 audio format is a type of codec.
My videos are compressed with Microsoft's "Windows Media version 8" and "9" audio and video codecs. If you do not have the correct codec installed, the video and/or audio will not play correctly. (Unwritten is compressed in version 9; some later videos were originally encoded in a format called "Advanced 9" but after many viewers experienced problems with that, now everything is encoded with standard Version 8 or 9 codecs.
Windows Media Player is supposed to detect and download the correct codec. Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't.
If your movie player doesn't work, the simplest way to get these movies to play correctly is to download and install the latest Windows Media Player from Microsoft. Any version 9 or later will include the necessary support.
If you are using Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, or Windows 2000, you can download Windows Media Player 9 from Microsoft.
If you are using Windows XP, you can download Windows Media Player 11 from Microsoft.
It is also possible to wedge the version 9 codecs (i.e., support for the way the video is compressed) into earlier versions of Windows Media Player. Theoretically, other media players such as WinAmp would also be able to use these codecs if they are installed on your computer. Microsoft has codec packages available for Windows Media Players 7.1 and later.
Hope this helps!
